Hoppe brand aluminum handles are made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant metal alloys. The surfaces of HOPPE alloy handles are refined by anodizing or electrostatic painting. During the anodizing, an artificially induced oxidation process (reaction of the raw material with oxygen) controlled by current and sulfuric acid gives a surface protection layer (oxide layer) on the product.

This layer protects the product from external influences such as hand sweating, air humidity and mild mechanical stress. No corrosion occurs on the damaged surface due to, for example, rings or keys. In the case of electrostatic powder coating, the powder is applied to the surface of the aluminum in a layer of lacquer. Thereafter, a combustion process takes place at 150-200 oC, so that the pond particles are transformed into a lake layer in the crosslinking reaction.
